This article reviews how Learner Credit handles different currencies.
All learner credit budgets are uniformly denominated in USD. This means that when dealing with learner credit, there is a common currency shared across the platform. This simplifies financial transactions, making them transparent and straightforward for all users.
Course Pricing in USD:
All courses available for purchase with learner credit, including Enterprise open courses and executive education offerings, have their prices set in USD. This ensures that learners have a consistent and clear understanding of the pricing structure, eliminating the need for complex currency conversions or calculations.
Administrator controlled Learner credit budgets:
For learner credit budgets configured to be administrator-controlled (top-down), the process is as follows:
- Course Assignment: When administrators assign a course to a learner, the USD price at the time of assignment is reserved from the learner credit budget. This reservation ensures that the budget has sufficient funds to cover the cost of enrollment.
- Learner Notification: The targeted learners are informed of the assignment and guided through the enrollment process.
- Learner Credit Budget Deduction: Upon successful enrollment, the USD price of the course at the time of assignment is deducted from the budget.
