This article reviews the methods for matching the portal theme and your organization's branding colors.
Within the Administrator Portal section Settings > Portal Appearance, you will be able to configure the colors for the Administrator and Learner Portals. Select your three colors and input the corresponding hexadecimal codes in the related fields.
Please note that your Custom Theme will need to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.
Hexadecimal code, or a hex triplet is one of the ways colors are represented to applications. If you think the validator is incorrectly saying your color is invalid, make sure you have a pound sign (#) at the beginning and that there are no spaces before or after.
The links below are some helpful websites to find hex colors from an image, if you wish to upload your logo or a screenshot from your website to pick the colors.

Accessibility
We highly encourage that all custom themes meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines AA standard. The two colors (button and banner) are checked against the size of the font used on these elements against the text color so that all students can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the content.
If your color is not meeting the standard, try finding a shade of that color that is darker or lighter, or consider adding this color as the accent, which does not need to meet any accessibility standards. Read more about edX’s accessibility policy here.
