This article reviews how portal appearance can be customized.
In order to customize your edX for Business Portal, you will need to navigate to the Settings tab within your Administrator dashboard. Click on Portal Appearance.
Upload your logo or select a different theme to change the theming for your organization's portal. You may insert a logo by dragging and dropping a file, or clicking to upload from your computer.
Logo images must be in .png format and not exceed 500KB in size.
For the logo, we encourage you to use a horizontal logo with a transparent or white background. Here is a resource to create a transparent background from an uploaded image.
Accessibility
We highly encourage that all custom themes meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines AA standard. The two colors (button and banner) are checked against the size of the font used on these elements against the text color so that all students can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the content.
If your color is not meeting the standard, try finding a shade of that color that is darker or lighter, or consider adding this color as the accent, which does not need to meet any accessibility standards. Read more about edX’s accessibility policy here.
