Prerequisites:
Please ensure the following information is available:
- An agreement with edX covering the Canvas integration.
- A working Canvas instance, and its base URL, e.g., https://edx.instructure.com
- At least one working account (Or a sub-account) in Canvas
What to expect once the integration is setup:
- Once the edX integration goes live, you should expect to be able to:
Find edX courses (as per your subscription catalog or any other catalog you have
access to), under the Account/Sub-account’s admin page. - See new courses as they get added to your subscription catalog. Updates occur several
times per day. - Courses will not display in the Canvas public course index by default, you will need to
enable the ‘Include this course in the public course index’ option on manually per course,
to show it in the public course index. This setting is in the course’s ‘Settings’ tab. - See the edX course image, description and a link ‘Go to edX Course’ as a learner, and
enroll in the edX course on the edX platform, after using a login with email that matches
your canvas login.
